This week’s real wedding comes from California, where Sudi and Juhi Gummi threw their spectacular Indian wedding among family and friends.
The couple met at grad school and after becoming engaged in San Francisco last year, decided to dive fully into their Indian heritage for their wedding plan. Juhi travelled to India to source hers and her family’s wedding saris, where she chose a traditional red outfit for the ceremony, and a stunning, vivid royal blue ensemble for the reception.
It was a day of bright colour, exoticism, and eastern tradition set against oceanic views on the Californian coast. From the moment Juhi made her unforgettable entrance atop a beautiful Indian elephant, the buzz never stopped.
From the sun soaked outdoor ceremony in a white grecian style folly draped in lilac and white silks, to the candle lit reception where the new Mr and Mrs Gummi took to the dance floor with inimitable style, this was a celebration few guests will forget in a hurry..
