Sara Thorn is a destination event planner, based in the UK with 12 years of experience in Dubai as well as, Lisbon, Athens, Istanbul, Madrid, and Cape Town, to name but a few.

The following services are available for weddings, engagement parties, gala dinners, and birthday parties. Also, RSVP and guest management, as well as consultation services, can be offered as stand-alone.

* How far in advance should we confirm our venue/s?

This depends on the venue, it can be 1 year, 6 months or 3 months in advance.

* How many weddings do you take on each season?

I prefer to keep the volume down because I like to maintain quality in my services and to give proper attention to my brides.

* What exactly does a wedding planner do for us?

A wedding planner takes all the hassle away and allows you to enjoy this special time. It is the wedding planner's duty to make sure that stress is minimized and all elements needed for your wedding are in place.

* Are you available for meetings at the weekend or evenings?

Yes, I am very flexible and generous with my time when such requirements are necessary.

* How do you charge for your service?

My fees are calculated based on the event requirements and number of guests.

* How many planning trips would you recommend for an overseas destination wedding?

1 or 2 before the wedding date.

* Do we have to use your suppliers?

Not necessarily, as long as suppliers meet quality standards happy to work with non preferred suppliers.

* How many team members will you have working at our wedding?

The main point of contact is one person, on set up and on the day of the event there is a small army. To run the show there is usually 1 director plus
