About Us
St Donat's Castle was once the home of the American newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst and played host to many Hollywood stars of the day. Today the Castle is home to an international sixth form college and is available throughout the summer months for weddings and celebrations.
When you book St Donat's Castle, your guests will be able to enjoy an exclusive venue dating from the 12th century and which comes complete with landscaped Tudor gardens and stunning sea views.
The castle grounds include a number of intimate terraced gardens leading down to the seafront: there is an exquisite and fragrant rose garden, secluded blue garden with wisteria covered summer house and a beast garden bursting with gothic romance.
Photo opportunities are in abundance from Tudor stone balconies and windows to crashing waves on the shoreline. St Donat's Castle is an ideal location for an authentically timeless and romantic celebration.
St Donat's Castle is licensed for wedding ceremonies and civil partnerships and can seat up to 165 for a wedding breakfast. Evening parties for up to 200 can be accommodated and there is space on the top lawn (with sea views) for a marquee seating up to 400.
