Maunsel House is a magnificent 13th Century Manor set in 100 acres of stunning parkland within a 2,000 acre Estate. The house offers numerous rooms in which to celebrate, including the Bar dating back to pre-1066. There are 13 exquisite bedrooms complete with four poster beds and en-suite bathrooms, one of which hosts a copper bateau bath.
Maunsel House is Licensed for civil ceremonies or church services in our Saxon candlelit chapel, within walking distance from the house.
Dine alfresco under our roofed Pergola or inside in our magnificent Ballroom and/or Dining Room. Situated within easy reach of J24 of the M5

Civil Ceremonies
Maunsel House is licensed for civil ceremonies in our glorious ballroom or in our wisteria garlanded gazebo. Every detail can be organised for you, all you need to do is book a date with the registrar and let us take care of the rest.
The Kings Room - The most magnificent Bridal Suite in Somerset
Situated at the top of the Victorian Gothic West Wing of the house, the King's room has a spectacular, 30ft, vaulted ceiling with sumptously dressed gothic windows and is home to 'The Great Bed of Maunsel'. The 8ft 6" wide Elizabethan four posted bed is hung with ravishing silks and includes the Slade family coat of arms hand embroidered on it's damask eiderdown.A magnificent life sized portrait of George I guards a secret panel, the only entrance to one of Maunsel's hidden rooms! The en-suite bathroom houses a spacious shower and glorious free-standing Copper Bateau Bath which glows in the morning light and the Gothic windows look out over the lawns and park beyond.
