Honeymoon Destination – China

China is a land full of ancient traditions, the most stunning landscapes and some of the most captivating cultures in the world. China is located in the east of Asia and borders the Pacific Ocean, the East China Sea, Korea Bay, Yellow Sea and South China Sea.

China is the third largest country in the world and its diversity ensures that there is something for everyone. Economically China is continuing to grow and it is quickly becoming one of the world’s most relied on countries economically. This up and coming destination is truly a wonderful place to visit for a honeymoon.

China is bursting full of interesting and futuristic cities such as Shanghai, Xi’An, Hong Kong and, of course, China’s capital – Beijing.  Bejing has been the capital for over 800 years and is home to some of China’s most famous landmarks: the iconic Great Wall of China, the mesmerising Forbidden City, and the Tian’anmen Square.

All of these sights need to be seen to be believed and are the perfect base for honeymoon memories.  Bejing is known for its wealth and the huge political impact it has on the country.  It is an ideal place to visit for sightseers and history buffs.  Luxurious hotels are generously dotted around the cities with many boasting a five star label.

China is also known for its wildlife and animal lovers can head to Chengdu and experience a magical tour of the Giant Panda Breeding and Research Centre.  While in Chengdu, you can head to the beautiful mountain of Emei Shan – one of the most famous sight seeing mountains in China.  Nature lovers can also visit the Tiger Leaping Gorge which is one of the deepest canyons in the world.

Given the size of China, the climate there varies greatly.  As a general rule, the best visiting months are April, May, September or October.  Generally, the weather at this time is warm and settled.  If you wish to experience hotter weather, then the summer months of June and July are the best time to visit, but be aware that there is a considerable amount of rainfall and unsettled weather also experienced during these months.

Overall, China has a huge amount to offer: warm weather, an abundance of history, glamorous cities packed full of phenomenal sky scrapers and some of the most beautiful natural landmarks in the world.  You can be sure that your honeymoon in China will stay with you forever.
