Temperley Brides launched with the dress that Alice designed for her own wedding in 2002.
Made from lace she had collected since childhood, sewn on to the finest crinkle chiffon and embroidered with antique 1920’s gold sequins, it was a personal labour of love'. Since then, Temperley Brides has expanded to include a dedicated bridal room in the Colville Mews boutique that opened in September 2006 and bridal departments all over the world.
From the moment the bride-to-be walks through the golden doors, she is enveloped in a world of easy luxury and secret finds. A sequinned hand embroidered gown worn with a one-of-a-kind antique stole found by Alice on her travels; a simple chiffon shift with hidden corsetry teamed with an antique bejewelled purse, the Temperley Bride is always true to herself.
As Alice says, designing for brides, ‘is about making somebody’s ultimate fantasy dress and doing so is a great honour and very rewarding.
