Welcome To The Colours Of 2015

You must have seen it by now – “Marsala”, the gorgeous, muted and earthy, pomegranate-inspired hue that Pantone have declared the colour of the year. This is the shade that is already inspiring everyone, from make-up artists, to fashion houses, to interior designers. It’s a versatile colour, and comes within a stunning palette of similarly dusky, natural tones which range from blue to orange. So how to work these “must-have” colours into your big day? The obvious candidates for splashes of colour in your wedding party are the bridesmaid dresses, where you could take inspiration from Temperley’s range of beautiful evening gowns in classic blue, and pale golden. Good things come in threes, so adding a frosty pink silk evening gown by the Duchess of Cambridge’s favourite Jenny Packham, would create a most appealing trio to follow you down the aisle.
Wedding Colour Trends 2015Or, if you have little ones for flower girls or bridesmaids, the tutu-style dresses by Angel’s Face  call to mind Pantone’s ultra feminine shades of Strawberry Ice, Toasted Almond, and Custard. They look, and sound, delicious! It’s no coincidence these tones have such evocative and sensory names; the whole palette is inspired by nature; by foods, spices, landscapes, and crystals. A perfect way to achieve these natural, on-trend colours is in your flowers. Foxglove & Roses’ gorgeous centrepiece would work as well in a spring wedding as it would in an autumn one. And how about some delicate and intricate favours by The Favour Gallery placed by each setting, perfectly complementing the floral feature?
Leaving the most important two people ’til last, you and your groom should both look chic and on-trend on the most special day of your lives. Imagine walking down the aisle towards this gorgeous Eldon suit  by Reiss; that’s the perfect “something blue”! And for you, even if you are opting for classic white or ivory for your gown, why not accent it with some subtle pops of colour? Kosibah Couture’s bold design  features a gorgeous tangerine orange silk bow, which makes quite a statement on the back of the gown. Or if that’s too bold for your taste, more and more brides are opting to have some fun with their shoes on the big day; these cheeky and cute aqua shoes might just be your little secret beneath your elegant dress…
Lastly, if you just want the littlest hint of colour, then make-up is the clear choice. Sephora have created this astonishingly popular Marsala Matte Lip Creme which will have the whole congregation queuing up when the words “you may now kiss the bride” are uttered. And when that precious band finally gets slipped onto your ring finger, imagine showing off this stylish nail polish, Blue Boy by Chanel to your new husband.
So much joy can be had from choosing a colour scheme for your wedding and we love all these timeless shades by Pantone.
