Una Storia D’Amore In The Heart Of Sorrento

Sophisticated Weddings have produced many 5 star weddings across Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast in Italy; a truly spectacular wedding destination for brides and grooms coming from all over the globe.

Having recently collaborated on a wedding with international photographers Purecreations (who recently shot the 2017 collection for Badgley Mischka & Enzoani) and WeCreate videography; the teams joined together to create an incredible photo and video shoot at the stunning Villa Silvana situated in the heart of Sorrento. Featuring gowns from Enzoani and Badgley Mischka, custom made jewellery by Seren Jewellery, a traditional Fiat 500 courtesy of Teresa Serio (Fiat 500 Sorrento Wedding) and hair and make-up by Farhana Ali, the results were exceptional.

The location…

Villa Silvana is located in the heart of Sorrento, a short walk from the main square Piazza Tasso, but its luxurious gardens create a secluded oasis of tranquillity. The garden’s tall trees, colourful flowering bushes and rare palms provide the perfect setting for an Italian destination wedding. The wide terraces high on the clifftop above Sorrento’s picturesque tourist port with a breathtaking view of the Bay of Naples, Vesuvius and Capri, open out in front of the Villa’s spacious reception rooms.

The gowns…

The Badgley Mischka gown featured hand-beaded embroidery, bejeweled details and suited perfectly the timeless elegance of the Villa. The Enzoani gown offered a more modern and romantic style. Soft tulle, corded embroidered lace, Chantilly lace, and delicate eyelash scalloped hem lace enhance the romance of this classically beautiful and feminine modified A-line gown.

The photographers…

They are a husband-and-wife team with over a decade’s photography experience, instinctively knowing about those crucial moments, whether it’s grand, sweepingly dramatic shots or something cheekily sweet and low-key. The groom’s first glimpse of his bride or the bridesmaid throwing her head back and laughing at the Best Man’s speech are moments that they simply don’t get a second chance to capture. They have an innate ability to capture each little detail that beautifully reflects the uniqueness of every wedding day. If you mixed a little Jo Malone with a dash of New York Fashion Week and wrapped it all up in a cosy family-run business that’s passionate about your day, then you get an idea of what they are all about.
