Real Wedding – 4th of July Party in New York

The Couple

Bride Jennifer described her groom, Dustin, as ‘her best friend’, when this sweet couple wed in New York City, on 4th July – what a day for a party! Photographer Kari Otero has captured the chic party vibe of this Independence Day wedding, perfectly…

The Ceremony

Jennifer and Dustin wed at Le Parker Meridien Hotel in New York. Jennifer’s dad walked her down a candle lit aisle, strewn with flower petals, towards a beaming Dustin waiting at the altar. Jennifer was joined by a small army of gorgeous bridesmaids, looking very cool in strapless black maxi gowns, with bouquets of white flowers. Continuing the monochrome theme, Dustin and his groomsmen were looking suave in black tuxes – with the fun addition of some novelty socks! After the service there was time for photos in Central Park, where even the rain showers couldn’t wash the smiles away…

The Dress (Etc)

Jennifer’s dream dress was a figure hugging, strapless Vera Wang gown with a flowing fishtail. The stunning dress did all the talking for Jennifer’s ensemble, as she paired it only with a simple pair of earrings, and a classic low bun. A bouquet of cream peonies completed the look.

The Reception

The city that never sleeps sure knows how to put on a show for a wedding… After an elegant dinner at glittering gold tables, guests enjoyed the panoramic view of the unrivalled New York skyline from the hotel’s terrace balcony. As the sun went down, revellers danced the night away to the sounds of Hank Lane, and – of course – played with some 4th July sparklers on the terrace.

This wedding was brought to us by planner Lisa Elias, Brenna Drury Make Up, Cake Alchemy, room by Yena Designs, Le Parker Meridien Hotel New York, Vera Wang, Hank Lane, and all captured by Kari Otero.
