At the weekend I had the pleasure of meeting many exhibitors at the UK’s most chic wedding event, The Designer Wedding Show.

I wanted to find out some of the top trends they are seeing this year, from the luxury wedding dresses to the fresh creative catering companies. I love to visit the show, as nowhere else you will find so many leading bridalwear designers showing together in one place.

Alongside them are some of the best and most exciting names in photography, cakes, flowers, shoes, accessories, millinery, gift lists, stationery, venues, honeymoons, entertainment and much more.  The show really does inspire and enable you to plan everything you need for a truly stylish wedding.  Here are a few exhibitors I managed to talk with:

Matthew Williamson, one of Britain’s most celebrated designers.  His stunning bridal gowns reflect the same aesthetic in soft and romantic silhouettes in richly embellished fabrics and experts craftsmanship.  Cover up for dresses, Grecian and lace are proving to be very popular this year.

Sassi Halford designs and makes classic English wedding shows with a contemporary edge and offers a full couture service to her brides.  Sassi’s gowns have a really timeless elegance to them.
