A vintage style hen weekend

| November 17, 2009 | 0 Comments

8Vintage style is now spreading from the weddings right through to the Hen-dos, with brides to be and their hens partaking in afternoon tea (with champers of course!) and getting dressed up with a twist of 20s, 30s, 40s and 50s’, says Rebecca from A Most Curious Party, who recently styled a Breakfast and Tiffany’s themed hen party. ‘All the hens had a whale of a time, Holly Golightly would have been proud!’

The girls had their hair done by Vintage hair stylist in 40s and 50s style and dressed in the classic LBD and pearls that Audrey made famous, while the Bride-to-Be made the most of her blonde locks dressing as the ultimate screen siren herself Marylyn Monroe.

The table was decked out as a powder blue Tiffany’s box, complete with white criss-cross ribbon and bow, set out by A Most Curious Party. The team also supplied the vintage crockery the girls sipped tea and nibbled on cakes from before starting their Life Drawing session, maybe not so vintage, but great for a giggle.

The event was held at the Pelham Hotel, which has a beautiful set of event rooms and with its historical setting and enthusiastic events team, have an appreciation for nostalgic parties.
