You can go for a zingy lemon and poppy seed, moist carrot, light vanilla or rich chocolate. Then, of course there is an equally large and versatile choice of coverings, from icing to American frosting or chocolate curls. This can be decorated with fresh fruit, flowers. Select your colour, flavour, shape, and size for a totally unique and personal design. For cake sculptures try Kathy Scott, Kathy works from her studio in rural Norfolk, she works mainly in beautiful raw silk and mixed media to create sculptures of accentuated form.
Once you have chosen your wedding cake designer, a tasting session and consultation should help you ensure that your ideas are workable and will give you the opportunity to explain exactly what you want. An incredible amount of work and detail is involved so it is best to get it clear. It’s also worth remembering that, unlike a fruit cake, a sponge will not be made weeks in advance; your cake designer will discuss the time frame that you need for your particular wedding cake.
