The Dogmersfield Park Estate originally housed a medieval palace, which was passed between crown and church for much of its history.
Henry VI stayed at Dogmersfield Park on many occasions but perhaps most notably, the estate provided the arena for Henry VIII’s initial meeting with the first of his six wives; Catherine of Aragon, just weeks before her arranged marriage to his brother, Arthur, then their to the throne.
