Brides, grooms and planners and myself enjoyed an afternoon of wedding inspiration at Banqueting House, Whitehall on last week. The opulent surroundings of the Banqueting House were on show for the first time to prospective couples interested in finding that special somewhere for their big day.
Historic Royal Palaces’ dedicated events team were on hand to offer guidance whilst leading suppliers showcased their latest offerings beneath the beautiful Rubens ceiling in the Main Hall.
Blue Strawberry offered complimentary cocktails and afternoon-tea themed canapés and Pinstripes and Peonies brought an array of floral options from traditional cream and pink posies to vibrant flower displays, showcasing a wedding style to suit every couple both also collaborated with stationery company Swoon at the Moon to create two inspiration tables set for a wedding breakfast. Lights and sound were provided by White Light while DJ Ashley from Prelude Entertainment provided music from the throne.
Caterers Alison Price and Zafferano exhibited their current wedding menus. Lavender Green had a bouquet bar allowing brides to find the perfect bouquet style and size. Hayford and Rhodes decorated their stand with flower towers for impact. Elizabeth Cake Emporium’s ornate wedding cakes complimented the grandeur of Banqueting House.
Cloud 9 marshmallows and Artisan du Chocolat offered delicious favour ideas for guests to take home. The 5 star hotel Corinthia events team showcased their bridal offers, including afternoon tea for the bride and bridesmaids, pre-wedding beauty treatments and even a honeymoon suite for the wedding night.
Neighboring SixtyOne Whitehall, offered tours of their venue and a photo booth by Blue Steel offered Instagram style filter wedding photography. Capturing the events of the fair were wedding film makers Purple Ribbon Weddings and event and wedding photographer Holly Clarke.
The Undercroft was transformed into a pop up bridal boutique and blow dry bar. Brides could try on designer bridal gowns by Sassi Holford with shoes and accessories by Emmy. Blow ltd offered bridal hair and makeup trials.
A string quartet from Prelude Entertainment played in the background whilst guests relaxed on regal furniture provided by Great Hire. The finale to the day was the Sassi Holford fashion show, showcasing 15 dresses from the current collection.
