I first arrived in Budapest in Hungary which is a two hours flight from the UK (Luton Airport). The first thing that took my breath away was The Danube that flows through central Budapest past Castle Hill.
It is one of the many greatest sights in the world so for me to see it for the first time was such an exciting experience I knew straight away that I was in a magical place of pure heaven.

For our final night, we moved to the Intercontinental Budapest, just a short walk way from the buzzing shopping area of Budapest where the hotel is situated.
Things we loved…
The breathtaking 180 degree panoramic views of Danube, and we had wonderful terrace to unwind and enjoy the sunset over the water. The hotel had the finest spa treatment therapy that uses natural products, Elemis bath products, local Hungarian red wine and the finest marzipan chocolates in the room, just a perfect little treat after all that walking around the museums.
The thing that impressed me most about the hotels is how they have managed to combine international hotel standards with a defined Hungarian feel.
Does anyone know of a another city like this in Europe to marry or have a honeymoon in where you are offered a wide range of international dishes, quality wines, a wonderful buzzing atmosphere?Tags: Grand Boulevard Impressive Buildings Music Facility Romantic Place Thermal Water
